We are pleased to host a conversation with Guy Verhofstadt, President of the European Movement International, former leader of the ALDE group in the European Parliament and former Prime Minister of Belgium.
On the occasion of the publishing of his book “Defeating Trumpism (Burger in Opstand)”, Guy Verhofstadt will engage in an in-depth conversation about the ideas exposed in the book and what it means for the European Union: the democratic decay in Europe, the growing frustration of citizens and his solutions to re-energise European democracy.
The event is moderated by Ana Vasconcelos MEP, with introductory words by Hilde Vautmans MEP.
